Three Ways to Support an Effective Workout Plan
August 5, 2012 | Filed Under Workout Routines | No CommentsYour effective workout plan may be perfectly tailored to help you reach your athletic or body sculpting goals…but are you making sure your lifestyle is supporting your efforts and not standing in your way? There are three primary ways our day-to-day decisions can elevate the benefits of an already effective workout. Make sure you’re working each one into your overall routine.
Great Nutrition and Hydration
Pay attention to everything you eat and drink. Chances are, you don’t have to make any sudden, drastic or uncomfortable changes. But if you simply monitor what goes into your mouth during the day, you might notice a few subtle ways you’re sabotaging your plans. Three very small moves can help you vastly elevate your eating habits: 1) read ingredient lists, 2) notice portion sizes, and 3) choose more green vegetables, and less corn syrup and red meat.

Stress Management
The most important aspect of stress management is sleep. Get seven hours each night, no excuses. Second, think through each day before you leave the house in the morning. Mentally walk through your plans and various destinations and make a last minute list of everything you’ll need to remember and take with you. Make lists, learn to say no, and take care of yourself the way you take care of others.
Proper Gear
At the gym, wear comfortable, moisture wicking clothes, sturdy, appropriate shoes, and the best available hand protection. Great hand protection like Gripads can keep your hands safe from blisters and injury like gloves do. But unlike gloves, Gripads don’t constrict your hands, interfere with your range of motion, or collect sweat and bacteria. Just slide a pair on over your fingers and forget you’re wearing them. Your Gripads will help you maintain a safe, stable grip so you can stay focused on your resistance training moves.
